Turkish purple jade contains jadeite and comes in several natural color variations, ranging from taupe to lavender to deep purple. We grade our jade cabochons from A to C based on the brilliance of the color and the amount of mottling and inclusions present. The value is higher for deeper purple and more brilliant lavender. Inclusions of quartz and other minerals can add to natural beauty of this stone. However, the higher value pieces tend to have few inclusions or particularly attractive inclusions.

All of our jade is 100% natural with no treatment, dyes or polymers. Turkish jade is also available in varying shades of paler lavender and taupe and these colors are often used for beads and carvings. Turkish jade which takes on a more dusky, subdued purple or lavender hue is generally more affordable, but is still durable and contains jadeite.
